Our Farm Campsite
Our rural site offers camping and caravan pitches on a fairly level site, some with electric hook-ups, from Easter until the end of September.
Nestled in the Corfe Valley, we have been a family farm since 1964 and are currently providing a home to a Hereford Suckler herd of beef cattle.
Our Facilities
The camping and caravan site can host a mix of tents and caravans with showers, toilets and wash-up facilities provided; milk, eggs and Calor Gas can be bought from the farmhouse. We can also offer our adjoining fields for wedding receptions and larger-group camping such as Scouts, Guides, Boys Brigade, DofE Groups and caravan rallies - prices available on request. Bucknowle Farm can also provide winter and summer storage for caravans and boats.
The farm has good access to public footpaths and bridleways, and is popular with walkers and hikers. A 15 minute walk will take you into the village of Corfe Castle with its castle ruins and choice of eateries and pubs. A heritage steam railway runs from a very popular station at Corfe Castle, ideal for a day out in Swanage. The Jurassic Coast is three miles away and is the home of the Pliosaur – The Tyrannosaurus Rex of The Sea, (as featured by Sir David Attenborough), this can be seen in the famous Etches Museum in Kimmeridge.
There is a village pub in Church Knowle, to the west of the site, together with the deserted villages of Tyneham and Worbarrow. These are located within the MoD ranges and are open to the public most weekends, Bank Holidays and throughout August.
